Lauren is a licensed chemical engineer with over 15 years of experience in process design in the Oil & Gas and chemicals industry with emphasis on process, functional, and machinery safety. She is currently serving as a Principal Specialist in the SIS Group at aeSolutions in Greenville, South Carolina. She is responsible for development of safety instrumented system front end loading related deliverables, including safety integrity level calculations, verification reports, safety requirements specifications, testing procedures, IPL verification, and development of detailed design documentation on capital projects. Lauren is a Certified Functional Safety Professional (IEC 61511) through exida, a Siemens Functional Safety Professional (ISO 13849:2015 and IEC 62061:2015 for Machine Safety) through TÜV Sud, and a CMSE® - Certified Machine Safety Expert (TÜV Nord). She holds a BSc. Eng. in Chemical Engineering from the University of South Carolina and is a member of the NCEES PE Chemical Engineering Exam Development Committee.
