Liang Chen
Liang Chen received his BS in Applied Chemistry from Nanjing University, PR China in 2001. He obtained his PhD from the Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and National Energy Technology Lab in 2006. He then spent one year as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. working on a hydrogen storage project supported by the US Department of Energy Hydrogen Sorption Centre of Excellence. He joined Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2007. His research involves multi-scale modelling of complex systems using statistical mechanics and first-principles methods. The goal of his research is to design and develop novel multi-functional materials for carbon dioxide capture and conversion, hydrogen storage and catalysis. He has authored over 40 research publications.
