Lluvia studied her Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at the University of Manchester, UK. For her Ph.D., she developed methodologies. She is now a research consultant at Process Integration Limited and the University of Manchester. She is currently developing new strategies to optimise the operation of crude distillation units and crude preheat trains.
