Ludmila G. Peeva

Dr. Ludmila Peeva studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy – Sofia, Bulgaria where she graduated in 1986 with diploma: Magna cum laude. In 1996, she obtained her PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Engineering (IChemEng), Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Bulgaria. Until 1999, she worked at IChemEng as an assistant professor in the field of biotechnology. In 1999, she joined the Separation Engineering and Technology Group at the Department of Chemical Engineering and Chemical Technology, Imperial College London, UK initially as a postdoc and later as a research fellow in membrane technology. Her current interests are in the field of membrane processes, in particular nanofiltration in organic solvents; separation processes for pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacture; application of organic solvent nanofiltration in continuous flow systems. Her research resulted in more than 45 publications, 3 patents and 3 chapters in books.
