Mahdi Nouri Charter Engineer, Fellow of IChemE is President of Triumph Gas Technology Consulting. Mahdi has over 24 years of experience in Engineering and Construction in the Upstream, Midstream, and LNG Industries. Geographically, his career has covered engineering and construction activities in the Americas, Europe, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Oman, Australia, Kazakhstan, West Africa, India, and Indonesia. He was involved in the development from concept to implementation and technical services of various world-class LNG projects, over two dozen NGL recovery and fractionation plants, four gas processing plants during start-up, several gas processing and LNG plants technical services (optimization, gas analysis, debottlenecking, and capacity enhancement), and several carbon capture studies.
Mahdi has held key leadership roles at Worley, Jacobs, and Bechtel. He has led the upstream, midstream, LNG, CCUS line of business, consultancy, design, engineering, and project management teams, design-built modular gas plants, and LNG projects (small to large size) in different offices. Mahdi’s responsibilities included Profit and Loss, developing and directing the global network of UMLNG focused centers of excellence and industry-leading capabilities, developing and expanding the client base, supporting proposals and project execution, and facilitating the integration of the UMLNG Practices.
Mahdi is the principal author of a new reference book on Life Cycle of a Process Plant, 1st Edition, Elsevier. Mahdi has served as Chairman of the Annual Technical Conference (2023 – 2026), Chairman of the Facility Design, Operation, and Maintenance Committee since 2016, Chairman of the Facility Forum since 2018, Chairman of Facility Forums, and member of Programing Committee since 2018 at GPA Midstream, Director of AIChE Management Division (2019 – 2021), Director of AIChE F&PD (2017 – 2021) and Chairman of Gas Utilization Conference AIChE Spring meeting (2018 – 2021). He was also honored with the GPA Midstream Leadership Award 2021 and the GPA Midstream Committee Volunteer of the Year Award 2018.
