Manish Mosalpuri

I am a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University. I work on building a framework for renewable energy applications. During my Ph.D. research, I have worked on conducting a techno-economic analysis (TEA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) of the electrochemical conversion of waste nitrates (from agricultural runoffs, nuclear power plants, and slaughterhouses) to a useful chemical intermediate, hydroxylamine (NH2OH); and energy storage using thermophotovoltaics technology (converting heat to electricity) which stores incoming electricity as heat and converts to electricity when required in a building.
