Mark received his degree in Chemical Engineering from Rice University in 1979. He worked for Conoco's process engineering group before moving to natural gas processing. He served in engineering, operating and planning roles before joining Vista Chemicals in 1988. The expansion of the Lake Charles ethane cracker was a big part of the next 6 years, though he did manage to get married and have a son. Joining Stone and Webster in 1994, he stayed in ethylene process design and participated in both technology development and plant design. The climax of his work was designing a world scale Canadian ethylene plant. Joining Lummus, Mark learned new ways of doing things and continued both technology development and design work. After leading the process design work on a grass-roots Gulf Coast ethane cracker, Mark joined Linde Engineering North America in 2014 as Principal Process Engineer for ethylene. Vice Chair of the EPC.
