Marta León

Marta León is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Catalysis Center for Energy Innovation (CCEI) at the University of Delaware, where she is conducting experimental studies of adsorption of liquid phase components in zeolites in the context of biomass conversion. She is also investigating the isomerization of glucose to fructose and their dehydration/rehydration reactions in aqueous phase. She earned her PhD in the Chemical Engineering and Environmental Technology Department of the University of Oviedo (Spain), where she worked in the synthesis and characterization of basic materials (hydrotalcite-derived mixed oxides, magnesium oxides) and their application as adsorbents for carbon dioxide adsorption and as catalyst for the reaction of ethanol condensation.
