Maryam Hoseini
A resourceful chemical engineer specializing in polymer science and the development of environmentally friendly materials. Expert in polymer, synthesis, characterization, development, and processing polymer composites. Extensive experience of laboratory techniques including the characterization of polymer including, FTIR, XRD, AFM, SEM, DSC, XPS rheological properties by different rheometer, polymer processing (extruder, batch mixer, etc.). A specialist in modeling and simulation by MATLAB and R program. A strong collaborator across academia and industry experienced working with a range of organizations, I have a keen interest in and concern for environmental problems especially plastic pollution and the development of sustainable polymers to mitigate plastic pollution. Currently as Research Fellow, investigating the best reuse model for different contexts; exploring the optimum materials, process and technologies for smart reusable plastic packaging systems; and developing practices to encourage reuse
