Maryam Sharifi Paroushi
Sharifi Paroushi, M.
Maryam Sharifi Paroushi is a Ph.D. student at the University of Missouri S&T, specializing in carbon capture and storage (CCS) integrated with enhanced oil recovery (EOR). Her research focuses on developing a novel CO2-resistant polymer gel to improve CO2 conformance and prevent leakage, a critical advancement for sustainable climate solutions. She is dedicated to optimizing gelation time, understanding the effects of ion strength, and enhancing the stability of these materials under high-pressure CO2 injection conditions. Actively engaged in industry collaborations, Maryam presents her findings at conferences and contributes to projects that aim to enhance the environmental and economic viability of CCS-EOR.
