I aim to tackle global problems through scientific research. I am specially interested in solving problems affecting the developing world. As a researcher I have worked in projects related to artificial fruit ripening agents and low-cost paper based diagnostics. I have authored several papers regrading fruit ripening agents and pesticide use. I have also developed paper based devices to detect formaldehyde in food samples and uric acid in biofluids. Currently at Texas A&M, I am working on developing new low-cost fabrication techniques for microfluidic devices and biosensors based on Polarizable Interfaces.
