Mehmet Dogan graduated from Yale University with a PhD in physics in 2017, where he studied strategies to enhance ferroelectricity in thin films using interfacial chemistry, size effects, electrostatics in heterostructures and doping. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at UC Berkeley, focusing on engineering novel 2D materials using alloying, and high-pressure superconductivity in hydrogen. He received his BS in physics and mathematics in Middle East Technical University in Turkey, which is where he is originally from.
