Michael Depierro

Mike DePierro is currently working in the Silanes Process R&D group in Midland, Michigan. He joined Dow in 2010 and has led several organosilane and organosiloxane process development projects. He leads the Organosilanes Intellectual Property and Process IP teams. In previous roles he has led the Process Chemistry Community of Practice as well as the Specialty Siloxanes Tech Center program, overseeing process development activities and significant expansion of several organosilicone products. Prior to joining Dow he was employed with General Electric and Sabic Innovative Plastics with roles in process and product development. He completed a Ph.D. in 2006 in Chemical Engineering at the University of Iowa with a focus on photopolymerization, reaction kinetics, and development of novel nanostructured polymers.
