Michael D. (Mike) Snyder serves as Vice President, Organizational Process Safety, for DEKRA Insight, a trusted advisor in Chemical Process Safety testing and application services. Mike was previously the Global Director of Safety and Loss Prevention for Dow Corning Corporation. In this role, Mike was actively involved with several NFPA projects focusing on educational outreach to improve Composite IBC fire risk management. Mike currently serves a member of the NFPA Standards Council, and also is an active member on several NFPA technical committees. Mike also serves on the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS) Advisory Board. Mike obtained a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, and a master’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health from Columbia Southern University. He is a registered professional engineer in Michigan, a Certified Safety Professional, and a Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS).
