Baassiri, M.
I completed my BE in mechanical engineering at Beirut Arab University in 2012 and earned my ME in mechanical engineering at the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2014 where I worked for another two years as a Research Engineer. My research focused on aerosol dynamics to address climate change and public health matters related to smoking/vaping. Later, I joined Dar Group as a Design Engineer where I was later promoted to a Project Engineer and worked on multiple infrastructure-scale fluids-based projects. In 2021, I joined the University of Limerick (UL) to pursue my PhD studies in process engineering. As a member of the Bernal Institute of UL, I am working on the advancement of supercritical-assisted drug particle production techniques by employing CFD modeling and laser-based spray characterization. My studies aim to help industry achieve better manufacturing efficiencies using sustainable design optimization approaches to enhance bioavailability of manufactured medicines.
