Nicholas Siefert

Nick Siefert is a student intern at the DOE’s National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) while obtaining his Mech. Eng. Ph.D. in Dr. Litster’s research group. He attended Princeton University while on an AFROTC scholarship. Nick served his active duty commitment at the Air Force Research Laboratory in Dayton, OH. His current research at NETL is on integrating coal gasification reactors with solid oxide fuel cells in order to generate electricity with efficiencies near 60% while capturing carbon dioxide for sequestration.
