Nirupama Gopalaswami is a PhD candidate from Mary Kay O'Connor Process Safety Center (MKOPSC) at Department of Chemical Engineering of Texas A&M University. She attended Anna University in India where she obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering in 2010. Nirupama has been involved in several LNG projects which involved experimental work on LNG spills at the Brayton Fire Training Field in College Station and at Ras Laffan Industrial City in Doha, Qatar. Nirupama’s research is focused on modeling of LNG pool spreading and vaporization on water using CFD which aims to provide guidance in designing effective LNG spill emergency response plans.
