Dr Pablo García-Triñanes joined the University of Greenwich in September 2016 as an associate researcher for the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling Technology. His research interests include engineering studies of particulate materials especially particles mainly related with energy, pharmaceuticals and food applications along with modern characterization methods, particle tracking and simulation. Dr García-Triñanes is the leader of the Flow, Heat and Reaction Engineering Group (FHREG) with concurring synergies between Environment and Materials Engineering and the Wolfson Centre for Bulk Solids Handling. His research focuses on linking particle properties to powder performance in industrial process plants. His particular passion is fluidisation (the suspension of granular material by a continuous fluid). Currently he is exploring the use of fluidised beds in accelerated carbonation technology, to produce functionalized particles and to study the dustiness and attrition behaviour of powders.
