Peter N. Lodal, PE, CCPSC is a Principal with D&H Process Safety, and a Staff Consultant for CCPS. Pete retired, after 42 years of service, from Eastman Chemical Company in June 2019 as a Technical Fellow in Global Health, Safety, Environmental and Security Services. Pete has worked with CCPS since 1987 in various capacities.Pete is a Professional Engineer (TN) and a Certified Process Safety Professional. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) and a Fellow of the Center for Chemical Process Safety (CCPS). Pete is the author or co-author of over 20 papers and publications. Pete was also the 2013 Trevor Kletz Merit Award Winner, given by the Mary Kay O’Connor Process Safety Center at Texas A&M University, and the 2016 Walton-Miller Award Winner, which recognizes excellence in process safety from the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Currently, Pete is a member of the AIChE Board of Directors. Pete holds BS (1976) and MS (1977) degrees in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Tennessee, and a CCPS Certified Process Safety Professional.
