Rachel Shapiro

Rachel is a third year PhD candidate at Johns Hopkins University in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering department. She is a member of the Ensign Lab within the Center for Nanomedicine. Her graduate work focuses on nanomedicine approaches to preterm birth prevention, vaginal drug delivery for other female reproductive tract diseases, and nanoformulation for fibrosis prevention in crohn's disease and colitis. When not focusing on research, Rachel enjoys SCUBA diving, reading, and travelling.
