Rajat Duggal
Rajat Duggal is currently Associate R&D Director for Industrial Solutions at the Dow Chemical Company. Rajat joined Dow in 2007 as a Sr. Research Engineer in the Rotation Assignments Program (RAP), after working for 2 years at GE-Plastics as Process Engineer in the Display and Optical Films business. In 2008, he became part of the Polyurethanes R&D Team, leading a number of projects in new product and application development. He later led product and application development for PU Industrial Markets in the area of Elastomer & Coatings. He also established and led New Application Development Platform for PU thermoset technologies by exploring high value applications and market adjacencies in collaboration with Strategic Marketing, Technical Service and Sales. Since 2015, Rajat has been in charge of global research and development in New Chemistry and Materials for Polyurethanes in the Consumer Comfort, Energy Efficiency, Industrial, Automotive and Infrastructure Markets. Rajat serves on the board of Rice Engineering Alumni at Rice University. He currently has co-authored 18 US patents and was part of the teams that have been recognized with 2 R&D 100 Awards and the CPI PU Innovation Award. Rajat earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Rice University (Houston) in 2006 and B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
