Ran Xu

Dr. Ran Xu is a Technology Leader in DuPont Canada. Ran leads a technology team specialized in the development and scale-up of new processes for strategic high value materials – from laboratory concept development, piloting, to technology transfer to commercialization. Since joining DuPont in 2011, Ran has demonstrated a track record of leading and executing technology development for over 20 innovative processes, products and supply chain options for the industries of semiconductor fabrication, display materials, crop protection, photovoltaics, energy storage, specialty polymers, and renewable energy. Ran has been the DuPont Canada DE&I Leader since 2019, strategizing, leading, and advancing DE&I. Ran holds a Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering from Western University and a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Beijing University of Chemical Technology. During her graduate studies, Ran has conducted research on advancing and scaling up heavy oil and biomass processing technologies, with sponsorship from multiple industrial partners.
