Rigved Samant is a doctoral student at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, Ind?ia, since September 2020. He’s a Mechanical Engineering graduate who pursued a master’s degree in Materials Engineering at the Defence Institute of Advanced Technology, Pune, Indi?a, in July 2020. His master’s thesis work in supercapacitor devices stemmed his interest in electrochemical systems. His zeal to learn more about batteries coupled with global electric vehicle revolution and the passion for research led him to enroll for a doctoral programme. He has been awarded the coveted Prime Minister's Research Fellowship (PMRF), which is given to the brightest doctoral candidates in the country to pursue their research.
