Robert Schisla

Robert Schisla is a Senior Associate Chemical Engineer in the Worldwide Engineering and Construction of Eastman. He consults and works in process development, scale-up, mixing and design. He has worked at Eastman for 42 years and been Eastman’s mixing specialist for 37 years. He has been the technical leader responsible for process and scope development for many projects including being the lead technical engineer for a multi-billion dollar project. He is Secretary of the North American Mixing Forum (NAMF) and a member of the Executive Council. He is Eastman’s representative to BHR Group’s Fluid Mixing Processes Consortium. Rob has served on 3 book projects for AIChE’s CCPS, authored papers and has five patents in extractive distillation and the manufacture of engineered beads/particles. He has served in numerous roles in his local AIChE Section including Chair and Director. He holds a BS degree in ChE from the University of Missouri –Rolla.
