Roger D. Aines

Roger is currently focused on science and technology needs for the future US energy industry in a carbon-constrained world. This includes mechanisms to decarbonize fossil fuel uses, as well as development of lower-carbon fuels like natural gas. Carbon capture from low concentration sources like natural gas turbines, or even the atmosphere, are a focus of his research efforts. Roger is also engaged in science communication and advocacy development to help LLNL scientists be more influential in national conversations about energy.
