Roxana Mitrut

Roxi Mitrut is a 3rd year graduate student at Northwestern University, working in Prof. Josh Leonard's lab in the Chemical and Biological Engineering Department. Roxi works on engineering extracellular vesicles, which are nanoscale particles that are naturally secreted and transport cellular contents between cells. Engineering EVs to target to specific cell types or to direct loading of specific biomolecular cargo molecules allows us to enhance their latent therapeutic benefits, while preserving their non-immunogenic nature.
