I am a fourth-year Ph.D. student in the Russell of Chemical Engineering at The University of Tulsa expected to graduate in August 2019. My research focuses on the conversion of renewable energy sources to value-added products. Specifically, I am experienced in designing process set-up, synthesis of new renewable activated carbon materials (for wastewater treatment), and utilizing supercritical water to convert biomass to bio-oil. More importantly, in both of my published research, I have formulated mechanisms for the growth of nanoparticles and biomass liquefaction. I gained knowledge about the commercial value of my research when I was selected as a researcher in Oklahoma Catalyst Program which helps graduate students to turn their research into a business. Apart from my research career, I have been a Teaching Assistant since the beginning of my graduate program. I also had the privilege to mentor 8 undergraduate students during my research.
