Sam Antonas

Sam Antonas is Lead Process Engineer & Olefins Technology Specialist at Qenos Pty Ltd (part of the China National Bluestar Group) in Sydney Australia. He graduated from the University of New South Wales (Australia) in 1988 with an honours degree in Chemical Engineering. He has over 20 years experience in Olefins plant design, commissioning and operation, and was the Lead Process Engineer for the cracker’s conversion project to ethane feedstock in 1996. In 2003, Sam and his team received an ExxonMobil Responsible Care Award for Turnaround Effluent Management and Wastewater Recycling. As Technology Specialist, Sam continues to foster the strong relationship with the plant’s designer Linde, and via associate membership of the European Ethylene Producers Committee (EEPC), applies latest technology and best practice to the continuous improvement of the Olefins business.
