Dr. Scott Husson is William B. “Bill” Sturgis, ’57 & Martha Elizabeth “Martha Beth” Blackmon Sturgis Distinguished Professor in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering at Clemson University and a Fellow of AIChE. He has published over 100 papers related to membrane science and engineering, bioseparation science, the development of high-selectivity sensor materials and high-sensitivity sensors for ultra-trace-level isotopic analysis of radionuclides in aqueous media, and the translation of university research innovations to commercialization. In addition to his university role, Dr. Husson is President of Purilogics, LLC, a membrane technology spin-out company that he cofounded in 2013. He has served the broader research community in leadership roles that include Vice President of the North American Membrane Society and Chair of the Separations Division of AIChE. He also serves as Associate Editor for Separation Science and Technology journal.
