Sean Keenan

Sean Keenan is the Pilot Plant Manager for CONTINUUS Pharmaceuticals, a startup CDMO in Boston, MA. CONTINUUS Pharma was spun out of a collaboration between Novartis and MIT with proprietary continuous filter and dryer technology and a goal to bring their integrated continuous manufacturing platform to the market. Sean studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 2017, and went on to earn a Masters degree from University College Dublin in Ireland. He began his career in Dublin at APC, a contract pharma R&D company. Sean then moved to North Carolina to further develop his knowledge in flow chemistry and continuous manufacturing at Cambrex. Now at CONTINUUS, Sean is working on scaling up novel continuous processes, including Grignard reactions.
