Seongbeom Lee is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Energy Resources Engineering at Stanford University. He works on computational modeling, simulation, and control for electrochemical battery systems. Seongbeom has authored seven peer-reviewed publications with several more in revision, awaiting review, or in preparation. Especially, Seongbeom is interested in integrating physics-based battery models with machine learning techniques and data science approaches, which has the potential to be utilized simultaneously by battery designers, system engineers, and material scientists. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Chemical Engineering at the University of Washington. He is passionate about developing new Engineering courses, which aim to help students learn how to utilize and apply what they have learned in the classroom to the state-of-art research and their future careers. One of his research papers is being adopted as a curriculum for undergraduate laboratory courses in the Department of Chemical Engineering at New York University.
