Shiqiang Zou

Dr. Shiqiang (Nick) Zou is an assistant professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Auburn University. Before joining the faculty at Auburn, Zou was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford University. He received his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, an M.S. from the National University of Singapore, an M.S. from Peking University, and a B.Eng. from Beijing Institute of Technology. Dr. Zou’s research synergistically integrates electrochemistry with membrane separation and bioprocess to design energy-efficient wastewater treatment processes. He is passionate about transforming the current resource-intensive wastewater management into a resource-supplying hub towards a circular water economy.
