Shishir V Kumar

Shishir Kumar is second year PhD candidate working as a Research Assistant in the Nanomaterials and Bioprocessing Laboratory at Lamar University. He received a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from University of Pune, India. His undergraduate research focused on extraction of eugenol, an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) from Ocimum sanctum linn using an ultrafiltration membrane module. His current work includes microwave assisted synthesis of inorganic nanomaterials through “green” synthetic routes with a focus on mechanisms, yields, kinetics and optimization of power input to achieve scalability through process intensification.
