I am a postdoctoral research associate working for Vijay Singh on the DOE-CABBI and ROGUE project. I work on developing high-throughput NMR technology for the quantification and characterization of in-situ lipids in transgenic bioenergy crops and novel bioprocessing methods to enhance the yields of biofuel and high-value byproducts. I have received my bachelor's degree in biotechnology from Indraprastha University in New Delhi, India, PhD in biochemical engineering and biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. My PhD work involved genetic engineering of non-conventional yeast i.e., Scheffersomyces (Pichia) stipitis and develop a robust chemostat method for maximizing bioethanol production with complete consumption of substrate. My research interest areas are precision fermentation, microbial biotechnology, Bioenergy and TEA-LCA of innovative bioprocesses.
