Siow Ling Soh

Siowling Soh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore. He obtained his Ph.D. from the Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering at Northwestern University. After his studies, he worked with Prof. George Whitesides as a Post-doctoral Fellow at Harvard University. His current research interest involves creating "intelligence" in materials via chemical engineering principles. The objective of his research is to create self-powered autonomous systems that can sense their surrounding environments, analyze the information, and provide logical responses. He also develops smart materials and processes via investigating electrostatics at interfaces of matter and bulk polymers.
