Siva Angappan

Siva Angappan is the Director of Process Engineering & Technology with Headworks Bio Inc. He handles the process design of wastewater treatment systems in the municipal, industrial, and marine industries. Siva has more than 30 years of experience in environmental engineering including 20 years of experience in designing moving bed biofilm reactor (MBBR) systems and integrated fixed-film activated sludge (IFAS) systems. Prior to joining Headworks Bio and its predecessor, Hydroxyl Systems Inc, Siva worked with major consulting companies in the USA including Rust/Raytheon Engineering and Jacobs Engineering. His experience covers diverse areas on environmental engineering including air pollution control, physical/chemical/biological treatment of wastewater, and environmental compliance audits in various industries. Siva has designed or supervised the process design of more than 100 MBBR and IFAS plants around the world. Siva has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He was awarded a PE license (Chemical Engineering) in Iowa in 1999.
