Stewart Behie

Dr. Behie has over 40 years experience in operations, risk and safety engineering, process safety and risk based decision management related to industries in the energy sector including both offshore and onshore developments. He spent 10 years working in the Middle East; 3 years in Abu Dhabi as the Technical Safety & Risk Management Team Lead for a major offshore oil producer and 7 years as the Field HES Manager, for Dolphin Energy in Qatar. Prior to moving to the ME, Stewart was the Senior Safety Engineer for the Petro Canada's Terra Nova FPSO project from design to initial operations. Dr. Behie has an extensive background in training and staff development. Currently, Stewart is a member of the corporate risk group at Occidental Oil and Gas Corporation as Manager Safety and Process Risk. He is on the Steering Committee for the MKOPSC and participates on the risk communication subcommittee.
