Hello, I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Korley Research Group at the University of Delaware (UD) working under the guidance of Dr. LaShanda T.J. Korley. My current research focus is on 1. preparation of stimuli-responsive composite materials utilizing additive manufacturing and electrospinning techniques. I completed my Ph.D. degree from Tufts University, in Chemical Engineering under the guidance of Dr. Hyunmin Yi. My Ph.D. dissertation work was on "Micromolding-based Fabrication of Responsive Hydrogel Films and Microparticles having Tunable Micropatterned Opal Structures". I gained experience and expertise in the fabrication of 1. photonic crystals (opal structures), 2. soft smart materials, and 3. micropatterned polymeric hydrogels for potential sensing applications. During my Master's at the University of Toledo, Ohio, I worked on "Multifunctional Soluble Polymer Catalysts for the Synthesis of 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural from Fructose and Glucose" under the guidance of Dr. Ana C. Alba-Rubio. I was awarded outstanding MS thesis award.
