I am Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Ottawa. I am working on nanostructures for thermal energy storage. Adsorption thermal energy storage is an emerging technology used in space heating and cooling applications. Basically I focus on different class of porous adsorbent materials such as silica gel, zeolites, activated carbon, etc., and study their thermal energy storage properties. I am also analyzing how the porosity, pore-volume, and surface area of the materials affect the water uptake capacity and energy storage density of the adsorption materials.
