Thomas Brinz received his doctorate in liquid crystalline polymers from Ulm University in 1993, where he subsequently worked as a post-doctoral researcher. From 1995 to 2003, he was responsible for the development of new functional materials in the Research and Advance Engineering department at Robert Bosch GmbH. From 2003 to 2016, he founded the newly founded Bosch Lab Systems division for automation solutions in formulation development (High-Throughput Formulation Systems). Since 2009, he has been responsible for the Engineering Pharma Service department, first Bosch Packaging Technology and now Syntegon Technology, and the OSD Customer Center. He works in particular with process optimization and efficient development technologies like automated process development
