Thomas Farrell

Thomas holds his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Aerospace Engineering from the California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. Thomas joined Fike in 2007 as a Test Engineer in the Test & Analysis Laboratory, and currently serves as Manager of Test and Validation Engineering, with primary responsibility over activities at the Fike Remote Testing Facility. Current research initiatives include test method development, flame propagation in industrial scale pipeline systems, isolation system development, explosion protection of mills and dust collection systems, and combustion fundamentals. Thomas supports new product development efforts through concept development, experimental validation of new designs, and development of application guidelines. Data acquisition and manufacturing automation are also among Thomas’ primary activities at Fike.
