CAS Key Laboratory of Renewable Energy, Guangzhou Institute of Energy Conversion, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China Prof. Tiejun Wang focused on the research in biomass energy, with a special emphasis on the fundamental and key technologies of biomass conversion to advanced liquid fuels. In the recent five years, his research work has facilitated the development of the efficient hydrothermal conversion for biofuels (gasoline and jet fuel orientated hydrocarbons) production from biomass-derived sugar platform, used as the contemporary approach in carbon emission reductions and structural depolymerization of the highly regular and functional biomass molecules
