Tim Merkel
Dr. Merkel is currently the Director of Research and Development at Membrane Technology and Research. He has expertise in all aspects of membrane gas separation science and technology. He has published more than 30 peer reviewed articles and presented at numerous international conferences. Recently, Tim has led a team investigating the potential of using membranes for pre- and post-combustion CO2 capture from power generation facilities. Tim received his Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Brooklyn Polytechnic University (NY) and his MS and PhD degrees from North Carolina State University. He has been with MTR for the past 7 years.
