Tingyong Xing

Dr. Tingyong Xing finished his Ph.D. in 2009 at China University of Petroleum-Beijing, specializing in chemical engineering and materials science. Dr. Xing completed two postdoc fellowships, one at the General Research Institute for Nonferrous Metals in Beijing and another at the University of Alberta respectively. Since 2014, he has been working as a research scientist at CanmetENERGY-Devon. His research primarily focuses on synthesizing valuable-added materials using bitumen coke, a waste product. He also involved in hydroprocessing and co-processing of bitumen-derived products with bio-renewable products. Dr. Xing has published over 20 research and review articles in peer-reviewed journals and delivered numerous presentations at international conferences.
