Tyler is currently a Senior Engineering Associate in the Differentiating Technologies group in the Automation Division of ExxonMobil Research & Engineering. At present, he is involved in ExxonMobil’s Open Process Automation program as well as other R&D activities. Tyler has over 20 years of experience in process control applications in the petrochemical industry. Tyler began his career in Baytown, Texas and has had assignments supporting advanced control applications, leading R&D activities, overseeing the controls implementation in major projects and leading an engineering section. Tyler earned his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a MS and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
