Dr. Vivek R. Dabholkar has a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay (1982), Masters from the University of Rochester (1985), and a Ph.D. from the University of Houston (1988). He worked for the Consulting Firms, Setpoint/Aspen Tech and AMT, and Operating Companies Exxon Mobil, Shell Polymers, PA, Dow Chemicals. He is Principal APC Engineer for Ineos. Hw was the Best Practice Leader for Ethylene Plant Controls at Aspen technology.He enjoys developing fundamental yet simple models for Distillation Column Controls in various Control Configurations honoring incremental mass-balance which is often lacking in many of the implemented online control applications.
