William Mostia

Bill Mostia has over 40 years of experience in the process industries; the majority of which has been with petrochemical operating companies (Amoco, Texas Eastman, Dow Chemical Co.). His experience includes: safety instrumented systems, process and electrical safety, instrumentation and controls, electrical, & PLC's. He was elected to an International Society of Automation (ISA) Fellow in 2013. He has been a member of ISA 84 committee since 1987 and is a signatory of the two versions of that standard. He is also a member of several other ISA standards committee’s such as ISA 90, 91, & 96 He has published over 70 articles and papers on various instrumentation subjects including safety instrumented systems, electrically hazardous areas, troubleshooting, accuracy, power quality, grounding, human error, cyber security, wireless, and instrument failures. He is also the author of a book on troubleshooting and has contributed to several other instrumentation books.
