Won Jun Jo

Won Jun Jo received a B.Sc. and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from POSTECH and MIT, respectively. He then joined LBNL where he is currently a Molecular Foundry primary researcher. His research interests encompass photocatalysis, photovoltaics, and electrochemistry. His work focuses on material innovations for the establishment of renewable energy technologies, including artificial photosynthesis, solar cells, and fuel cells. He is the recipient of MIT Kaufman Teaching Certificate (2017), MRS Graduate Student Awards (2017 and 2016), AIChE Environmental Division Graduate Student Award (2017), Dow Chemical Travel Award (2015), AIChE Doh Wonsuk Memorial Award (2014), Samsung Lee Kun Hee Scholarship (2011), Talent Medal of Korea (2010), United Nations Peace Medal for his military accomplishments in Lebanon (2009), GE and Fulbright Fellowship (2006), Korea Presidential Science Fellowship (2004), etc.
