Mu, X.
PhD candidate in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. BS in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University in China. Specializing in synthetic biology and metabolic engineering, my research focuses on understanding the sources and impacts of metabolic heterogeneity on bioproduction. This involves investigating the diverse metabolic states that can occur within microbial populations and their effects on the efficiency and yield of bioproduction processes. By developing innovative approaches and tools to control or utilize this heterogeneity, we aim to enhance the consistency and performance of bioproduction systems.
