Zhexi Lin

Zhexi is a postdoctoral research scientist at Columbia University with Prof. Daniel Esposito. He is currently working on electrochemical CO2 conversion and renewable chemical and fuel production. During his PhD, Zhexi worked with Prof. Jingguang Chen on catalytic upgrading of biomass over metal carbides and nitrides catalysts with surface science and in situ synchrotron-based characterization methods. Prior to graduate school, Zhexi also worked on biomass conversion with Prof. Dionisios Vlachos at the University of Delaware. Zhexi has published in numerous journals including JACS Au, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental, Green Chemistry, ACS Catalysis, and Nature Communications. He frequently serves as session chair at AIChE and the North American Catalysis Society Meetings and has also been a student representative and membership director at the Catalysis Society of the Metropolitan New York.
